The Feasibility of an Innovative Gamified Flipped Classroom Application for University Students in EFL Context: An Account of Autonomous Learning

Aligned with the progress of technology and availability online resources, there is a growing inclination to incorporate game elements or gamification into educational settings, particularly in English language classrooms. This mixed methods research endeavors examine potential Gamified Flipped Classroom Application (GFCA) named “Classcraft” enhance student’s learning ability, motivation, autonomy. Questionnaires were employed explore students’ attitudes towards utilization GFCA as an innovative tool within context. Furthermore, semi-structured interviews conducted gain deeper insights students' perspectives regarding use Classcraft augmenting their motivation The study was carried out cohort 31 Thai EFL students enrolled for import export courses at public university northeastern Thailand. findings revealed that ability exhibited improvement, evidenced by higher mean score posttest compared pretest, subsequent implementation gamified flipped classroom application course. Additionally, majority expressed favorable due its effectiveness enhancing autonomy providing enjoyable engaging experience.
